Extensive Data Migration - BLACKTOWN, SYDNEY
$25-50 AUD / hora
The Contractor will be open to constructive feedback regarding approaches to data migration and follow guidance and preferences expressed by peers or the direct Manager and committed to the purpose of a values based organisation and uphold the corporate values mentioned above at all times.
They will have the ability to positively engage and influence individuals, teams and project stakeholders to contribute and complete data migration activities. This includes proven workshop skills with the ability to flesh out possible issues, gaps and ensure a completeness of vision and oversight-free data migration plans.
Data Migration which includes:
• Engage with the project team to identify data migration requirements
• Manages and coordinates the data migration activities between the business team and ensure alignment on the roles, responsibilities, tasks and timelines, and the execution of the activities to be implemented.
• Perform file movement processes migrate inbound unstructured data sets
• Create mapping documentation detailing fields and transformations from source and target systems
• Troubleshoot file migration issues troubleshoot issues that may arise using data migration expertise
• Complete data requests work with internal teams to complete and deliver environmental data requests
• Liaise between the project team and internal teams represent the team during meetings, respond to inquiries, provide information about data movement processes
• Liaise with external entities collaborate with external entities to determine timing of unstructured data sets and complete quality assurance testing
• Monitor and improve internal tools work with internal stakeholders to improve tools
• Develop data translation objects and data processing flow using current tools and software.
• Work closely with project/account managers on customer-specific initiatives that involve data translation or integration development.
• Work independently to coordinate and solve highly complex technical data communication and transformation issues.
• Design, test and implement data translation objects (maps).
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to data transformation and flow.
• Analyse data specifications and provide gap analysis.
• Create documentation for future reference, training and support purposes.
• Provide customers or internal teams with support on technical integration issues. Assist others in development.
• Communicate with customers to clarify data format requirements.
• Write transition plans to move development work into various environments.
• Mentor others regarding setup and development of integration technologies, including internal toolsets, XSLT and partner configurations.
• Facilitate training on integration techniques and methods, including creation of documentation for such training.
• MS Office Suite Creates and updates documents using MS Office applications (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Visio)
• Understanding of how to use and manage lists and document libraries
• Understands and can work with high volumes of field data
• Knowledge and experience developing and maintaining data communication systems and architecture.
• Experience with positional and other file formats.
• Experience mapping data structures.
• Ability to troubleshoot data flow processes, translation maps.
• Knowledge of Microsoft technologies and environments.
