I am a photographer looking for an easy to use ecommerce site which would allow me to place image files wihtin a folder, add some "templete" files to the same folder and then when a customer visits that folder it would display all the images on multiple pages with a list of purchase options and prices. The customer would be able to browse through the images, clicking on the tumbnails to view a larger version and order the quantities of that image from the larger version page. The idea is this: An include file would "look" at the images within the folder and would dynamically create pages displaying the images on multiple pages. Another file, located within the SAME folder would list the size & price options for each image. Additionally, Since customers pay me before work is completed or products delivered I would like the ability for clients to visit the site and make deposits to their private account using encrypted credit card info. The system should store their payment info and maintian a running account balance for their account. At the time they order photos from me they could deduct those orders from their account balance. Anonymous visitors could order and pay with a credit card at the time they finallize the order. IMPORTANT: Clients who reserve me for their photography also receive discount rates based upon the specific package they reserve. The system should be able to discount the couple using a "discount coupon" which would have a total value limit (to prevent them from giving the code to everyone they know). Each coupon should only be valid on items within the folder for which it is assigned. Other consideration: I think each order should be saved in a subfolder of the folder containing the images. With the subfolder being named after the order number. It would be nice if some form of script could allow the visitor to custom crop an individual image or convert it to black & white or sepia for their order.(maybe using javascript? not sure) If the ecommerce system could then save a copy of the image in the order folder with the changes applied which the customer has made, that would be nice also. Admin Section: The admin should be able to go to a single link to view all orders and to leave an order open until it is marked as processed. The admin should be able to set tax rates & shipping rates based upon the state the customer is ordering from. Shipping rate should allow for a base shipping cost OR a percentage of the order (whichever is greatest). ALL PUBLIC ACCESS PAGES MUST BE EASILY EDITABLE FOR LAYOUT, COLOR, and FONTS, ETC USING MS FRONTPAGE. To the programmer: If you have experience in ecommerce programming please feel free to make other suggestions and give as much advice as you can. FINAL AND IMPORTANT: I do not want an "off the shelf" system unless it can be totally configured to look custom for my site. I do NOT want an eccomerce program which I later find on someone elses site because the programmer sold other versions to other people. In other words, I want exculsive rights to this program. I will be using it ONLY for my own site but I don't want other photographers, companies, etc to have this programming.
