We are developing a special bluetooth headset for a voice recognition application and require someone to help us select the proper bluetooth module and with the programming of the module. We are currently looking at the CSR BlueCore 3 module, but we are flexible. The headset will require about 20-10 Khz audio bandwidth on both the earphone audio coming in and the microphone audio going out. It will also need to be full duplex operation and utilize the eSCO transport stack. This needs to have 2-3 meters of range and should automatically reduce power when possible to extend the battery life. Battery life is important and battery size is limited, so any programming that can reduce power usage would be needed. Also, importantly, this same headset will require a bluetooth dongle on the belt-worn computer typical of this application. The belt worn computer has no bluetooth receiver so to complete the link, we'd like to use virtually the same bluetooth module, but with different programming. We're thinking that the headset could be the master and dongle would be the slave- or vice versa. There could be several of these operating in close proximity so the headset would need to link up easily with it's intended dongle and quickly re-link after any shutdown or standby type of operation. The dongle would draw it's power from the 5V supply of the computer. The dongle will receive the bluetooth microphone audio from the headset and deliver it through a DB9 connector to the computer. Conversely, the dongle will deliver audio from the computer to the headset thru the bluetooth link. As with the headset, the audio going both ways will need to be about 20-10 Khz bandwidth.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
## Platform
Bluetooth between the headset and the dongle. The belt worn computer will ultimately connect to a Windows XP, or any other late version Windows, computer.
