The Checkpoint firewall uses it's own OPSEC interfaces to interact with the firewall. The LEA (Log Export API) interface is used to retrieve firewall events in near real-time. I need a Windows-based (2000/XP) application that can communicate with the Checkpoint manager station, using the OPSEC LEA interface to retrieve these firewall events. The main purpose of this application is to test the configuration of the firewall and confirm that LEA can connect to it. This project requires that the developer have a Checkpoint firewall, and access to the OPSEC libraries. It's our prefernence to find someone that has experience in this area because it is not trivial. The libraries are cryptic and poorly documented, and the sample code also has its share of problems. We can provide the successful bidder with source code that does run on a Linux platform. That code can only be provided under NDA, but it could be recompiled for Windows.
## Deliverables
Fully functional, end-user oriented, application and associated source code that connects to a designated Checkpoint firewall management station, authenticates to the firewall, and uses the OPSEC LEA interface to retrieve firewall events as they are generated.

While I have received several bids and inquries on this project, no one has specifically stated that they have Checkpoint and OPSEC experience. I can not award this project to anyone that has not previously worked with these tools, and you must be able to setup and communicate with a Checkpoint firewall to develop and test this application.
If any of you do have the necessary skills, experience and Checkpoint access, please let me know.
Thanks for your interest.
