Hello,
I am using an activex control called Screen2Video by [[login to view URL]][1] which you will need to download. I am using their demo written in VB6 and saving everything to an AVI file with the FPS set to 5. I also use Windows XP. I need to use a codec to compress the video. The ONLY codec I have found that works right is the Tech Smith Screen Capture Codec but I cannot use it with my software on other machines because I have their Camtasia software on my machine. The codec only works to save AVI if their software is on your machine.
If I use any other codec then it does compress the avi but when I play it, it is way off speed. It plays the video extremely fast and then long pause at the end.
So I need help finding a codec that works just like TechSmith with this activex, create a new one, or show me another activex/SDK that I can use in Visual Basic 6.0.
Please try before you bid and have a solution. I have downloaded many codecs and none work right. Btw, you have to reboot for the software to see the new codec installed. If you know of another control I can use, let me know in a comment and I will still pay you for letting me know. Otherwise go to the site above and try first. I just move my mouse around slow while it records. Then play and see it go fast. FPS must be set to 5.
Thanks!
