Multi-User, Multi-Room Voice/Video/Text Chat (like Paltalk)

I am looking to have someone build a system with the same features as Paltalk. This project involves money up-front to the coder, with an additional long-term partnership for upgrades & system support. If you are not familiar with it, please take five minutes to download it and log in to chat (www. paltalk. com) before you bid. Join a room with some people in it and chat for a few minutes. Start up a "private" free room and look at the room admin features, too. One of the key features of paltalk as a paid-user is the ability to have multiple video windows open on your screen at the same time, truly limited only by your own bandwidth and computer power. The voice quality is fantastic, the video quality (in paid-mode) is great. The text-chat is average. I need the front-end to run on Windows XP/2003 (.NET?) and the back-end servers to run on Linux. Open source should be used whenever possible. The system should be VERY scalable, capable of adding additional servers easily to ramp up capacity as needed . A Pentium 4 Linux server with 1gb of ram should be able to host 500 simultaneous users or more, all doing voice and video chat. This means very tight, efficient back-end code. If a server is taken offline, it should only affect the users on that server. When a user logs in to the client software, a back-end check should be made in a database to determine what level of service the user gets (free with 15 seconds of video every minute), or paid with 5 video windows and "good" quality video, or paid (high option) with unlimited video windows and great video quality. There should be a back-end administration interface to allow us to set the audio and video quality on a global or per-room basis, to save processor and bandwidth as needed, as well as other administration tools to keep the service running. Whoever wins this project will share in the long-term profits of the website. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform XP/2003/Linux
