A notification/alerting system using MSN, Yahoo, ICQ, email, & SMS is required.
A table in MySQL will hold the details for a certain user including:
* MSN Messaging address
* Yahoo Messaging address
* ICQ Messaging address
* email address to send him an email
* cell phone number for SMS
A program written in C will query the DB and get all those values and send a giving message to them.
A basic web page should be done for demonstrating adding/removing users and changing their notification method. not all users will use all methods to get notified. They should be able to select what to be used or even disable the notification completely.
You can use any open source libraries or programs like libyahoo2, icqlib, or libmsn if you want to achieve that. For email qmail will be used and you can call the injection command directly. for SMS, an API implementation for Clickatell must be done first. according to the specifications found at <[url removed, login to view]>.
the code should be optimized for performance and modularity as much as possible.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).

Linux Fedora or RELH (distro should not be a problem)
Programming language will be C. commented properly.
