Sound level

Actually I not sure if it's even possible, but I'm looking for a component (activeX) which is able to return a number from 1 to 10 according to the soundlevel (amount of decibel) leaving Windows/soundcard, heading for speakers.

EG. If the music is recorded at a high level (high output/high decibel), the component should return a high number, while weak recording (weak output/weak decibel) should return a low number.

(the example files should return something like "3" on the file [url removed, login to view] and "7" on the file high.mp3.

In short, a component which will tell me how high the music is playing in realtime, by returning numbers on a scale from 1 to 10, where 10 is very loud and 1 is very low.

## Deliverables

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
