To improve Taxi Dispatch in Excel. See change in bid to solve original request from being in Excel to Access. .zip file is the format that should be followed
## Deliverables
To improve Taxi Dispatch from excel into an Access database. Due to input from coders I have changed bid to improve excel previously posted. (Reports requested will show up in italics in following:) 1. Should duplicate appearance and purpose of the Taxi dispatch workbook. 2. Drivers entered into top taxi’s (Taxi 1-9 and 1PM-9PM) as in Main sheet, should be automatically entered into their respective sheets. This will change on a daily basis. Once their name is used in the Driver column, their name will match the color of the Taxi allocations. See top of Main sheet. These colors should be customizable. 3. Once calls come in, the info is entered. Currently in excel, Ctrl, Shift “:?? is used to enter time stamps in Call, Pick up. The time difference formula (Diff) should work the same. I would like a report showing each driver’s average time at the end of each shift. 4. The headers should duplicate the excel Main sheet: Driver, Flag , Call, Customer Name, # Pax, Phone #, From, To, Passport (PP)#, Amount, Complete, Clear . At this time we want fast entry, so there is no need to set up a database of names per se, that would slow the entry. This may be unavoidable, but if names, phone numbers are entered, will they automatically appear once part of their name is entered again. The key is fast entry, so if the above can be done while putting names in that would be great. 5. Once the Complete cell is “x’d?? a time stamp is recorded in the Clear cell. A report should show the average of each drivers start and finish times at the end of each shift. A report should also show all start, finish and complete times at the end of each shift. 6. At the top of the Main sheet should be an “available driver?? field, based on which driver cleared first. These could be represented the first five free drivers. However it could be set up for all nine drivers. This needs to be updated once the first available driver is dispatched. It would be nice for this field to move as the dispatcher movers down the main sheet. He/she needs to see this at all times on the main screen. Be aware that sometimes we may need to pick the 2nd or 3rd driver, so this re-dispatch will have to accommodate this. In other words the first available driver may not be picked, due to their location and the passenger location for pick up. 7. At the same time the Complete cell is “x’d??, the row of info is recorded in the respective drivers “sheet?? or however Access does it. 8. Each drivers sheet should have a total for the $ collected and a total of the number of Passports used. (Total of “x’s?? in the Passport # Column on Main sheet). This total will need to printed after each shift. 9. Have the ability for multiple dispatchers to enter info into the Main sheet simultaneously, as demanded, across a network. This may fall outside the original bid parameters. Please advise. 10. Reports should include the number of runs for each driver per day. They could be numbered or have a total. Once the Print option is selected all the above reports requested should be printed in one report. Reducing paper waste should be a priority, so try to fit it all in one. This would be appreciated. Landscape would be fine. 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
