I have a client that want to build a membership site. They are an urban housing group that has lots of information and applications online, and need some of these pages protected by a login system.
Members will need to be able to do the following things online:
**>** Sign up and pay for membership (don't know what shopping cart or anything like that yet)
**
>** Fill out applications (we will do the actual interactive applications, we would need you to figure out how they get sent in).
> Add items to the calendar (We need a dynamic calendar, I don't know if we use phpcalendar, or something like that)
> Be able to post job announcements
> sign up for a newsletter (we would need you to help us come up with a newsletter system)
For the record, there are currently 170 members. Thanks, let me know if you have any questions. We would be designing the site and doing the HTML, we just need backend functionality.

## Platform
I think php mySql, but open to suggestions. Probably not Cold Fusion because of the added hosting expense.
