PHP to Perl & VB.NET translation.

I need for someone to translate the Google PR checking script

(which determines google pagerank) from PHP (which I have it

in) to VB.net and Perl.

The faster and cheaper the better. I am looking for someone

to do this super fast. I will probably have a lot more work

for you if you do a good job.

Code is available below. MAKE SURE you run it and check with a

few domains to see that it works as the RentACoder text parser

might have removed some parts. If you need a server to test

this one let me know.

Here is the scoop. The perl translation should be fairly easy

for anyone who knows PHP and Perl. I do not know PHP so

I struggled. The VB.net translation gets tricky because the

checksum function uses >> operators for which VB.net

returns DIFFERENT numbers (for very large calculations) than

the same thing running on Perl or PHP (on the same machine)

Ex:

Perl:234921385 << 82 (Result = 1990459392)

VB.net: 234921385 << 82 (Result = 1990459392)

But, if we take a MUCH larger number:

Perl: 234921385123123 << 82 (RESULT: 4294705152)

[url removed, login to view] << 82 (Result: 62429999360587300864).

The second VB.net is correct, but for some reason the Perl/PHP is not. Usually that wouldn't matter but the checksum function

calculates huge numbers, so it does matter in this case.

I'm not sure why VB.net is spitting out the right numbers

and PHP/Perl are not. This was tested on mutliple machines

with same results.

FINALLY, though I've included PHP sources for both the

new checksum function and the old (google updated their

algorithm, old function still works but probably not for long)

and though there are many functions there, like bulk, etc

checks, all I need is a translation of the checksum calculating

function and a working version that will return the PR of

a site given the URL.

Please let me know if you have any questions. I need this

done ASAP. $50 BONUS if you can get it today.

Thanks!

Luc L.
