Sharepoint front end to SQL DB

We are looking for a SQL-based document retrieval system that will serve as our internal knowledge base. The db is intended to house internal and external information resources and should be searchable and expandable, with a user-friendly interface.

**Database Guidelines**

The db will include multiple document types, including PDF and TIF files, as well as WORD, Excel, and PowerPoint documents. It should be expandable, with a mechanism for adding documents and indexing information on an ongoing basis. Initial size about 10GB

**Search Guidelines**

We would like to have a simple search interface and would like to have a tabbed- navigation to two search screens ??" Simple Search(Title, Author, Date, Keyword) and Advanced Search(Title; Author; Date, to include date limiters, ranges; Keyword, to include options for Boolean searching; Text: Abstract Option, Full-Text Option; Case References/Cross References). I would love to have a third search option that breaks data into categories ??" i.e. owners manuals, warnings articles, safety topics, general resources, etc. I would like a field added on the back-end for notes, as well, to provide purchasing information, citations, etc. Reporting capability, ability to email documents ??" or multiple documents ??" directly from database? Easy-to-use tool/interface for adding documents to database

The search results screen would, ideally, be displayed in list format and include a link to the downloadable documents and/or location (in the case of hard copy materials). Future ability for the administrator to run reports indicating the types and structures of searches, as well as the documents most commonly pulled, etc.

## Deliverables

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):

a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
