I need an application that is able to close out old tcp connections.
If you have ever used the TCPView utility, it shows you what connections are open and active on a given machine. I would like something similar, but more rudimentry, the bells and whistles are not needed, where I can view a list of TCP connections on my machine and how long they have been open.
I would then like to be able to set 2 variables, a "Process" and a "Age". When setting these variables, any TCP connection for the "Process" that is older then "Age" in seconds. Should be closed. Note, it may be impossilbe to determine how long a connection is open. However, I am comfortable with the application itself keeping track of this. So for example if the application is open, and a connection is open, you can begin tracking how long the connection is open. If the application is not open, you can only keep track of how long the connection is open from the time that the application is opened.
The project can be written in C# or C++. I don't care which it is, but I would prefer C# if possible. It should make use of a GUI with a list view that shows:
Process, Protocol, Local Address, Remote Address, State, Age (in seconds)
Thanks!
