GUI for T27 Unisys

Environment: Unisys mainframe (A-series, Clearpath NX/LX), Cobol written custom-made software, T27 emulation. Goal: To develop a new GUI. Currently we use Attachmate InfoConnect for terminal emulation and e-Vantage for web enabled environment. New graphic interface should also be web enabled, fast loading, with features similar to InfoConnect (multiple environments possible, multiple pages/programs). Situation: Cobol application (financial administrative, warehouse management, etc) runs on both A-series as Clearpath LX/NX, T27 emulation. Basic setup is as follows: 1. MENU1 >> logon (Company, Journal, Date, Password. Station ID is linked to a static ip address for extra security) 2. MENU2 >> Module selection 3. MENU3 >> Program selection (within a certain module). We have currently two different interfaces: A. Attachmate InfoConnect = Terminal emulation. Con: Old-fashioned, non-graphical. Pro: fast, we use up to 10 pages (users can start 10 programs via MENU3), more than one environment (user can logon to more than one company). For security reasons we use now station id's which are linked to a static ip address. B. Attachmate e-Vantage Webpublish. For this solution we had to let go the static ip address. Con: speed is not really fast, most of the webpages/templates are dynamically build, only one page=program. If you want more than one page/program you have to open more than one IE window. Pro: html can be customized, graphical interface, central (server)solution. What I want is a solution (which may be an out-of-the-box solution/product from Unisys, Attachmate, BEA, and so on) to convert our Cobol applications easily/fast to a new GUI which is flexible, easy to change (for my local programmers at our office also!), fast loading, centralized, accessable via browser. - COMS. For screen layout we use the TCL of GEMCOS - Direct window and transaction based - MCP (DMSII) version 4.6.1, HMP 5.0 - Cobol74, menu = Cobol ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased. ## Platform - Unisys A-Series/Clearpath LX/NX - MS Windows 2000 Server - .....
