Javascript - Flashing images stopped working

I have 8 boxes, 4 across and 2 up, and the boxes fade in and out changing images while fading in and out. An example is here:

I need this to work cross-browser on IE 7 & 8, IE 6 would be rad too, Mozilla 2+3 and Safari.
