I have several Unix boxes running Ubuntu client (latest version) that need to connect to and authenticate users against an OpenLDAP server. The OpenLDAP software for Unix is available on the net free for downloading. I need you to provide an installer package that will install this free software and when it runs it should request the user to enter the OpenLDAP server's information (host name, ip address, etc...). After getting this info the installer should then configure the computer to bind to the server. The end result is that users should be able to authenticate against the server so that local accounts are not necessary on each unix/Ubuntu box. It's important that the installer be simple and easy to use for a basic unix administrator.

The installer should be unix based and easily run from a terminal window.
