Unix C Shell Script Using AWK

I have coded the script already, however, when I run it I get 4 syntax errors: awk: syntax error near line 18 awk: illegal statement near line 18 awk: syntax error neat line 25 awk: illegal statement near line 25 Platform: SunOS 5.7 Generic_106541-17 sun4m sparc SUNW, SPARCstation-20 I have run this successully on linux and freeBSD, however it does not run on the above platform, so I need the script changed so that it will run on ALL platforms. Attached is the script I wrote and the spec. If you determine that the script is flawed and need to re-write it, I am willing to negotiate.
