Modification of Net::SOCKS

Hello. I need a simple modification of Net::SOCKS v0.03 at CPAN. It currently has no timeout support like IO::Socket::INET; I need someone to rip the timeout code from IO::Socket::INET and put it in Net::SOCKS. I don't want custom timeout routines, I want the exact timeout routines used in IO::Socket::INET; The syntax for Net::SOCKS should then look like this... use Net::SOCKS; my $sock = new Net::SOCKS( socks_port => 1080, user_id => 'the_user', user_password => 'the_password', force_nonanonymous => 1, protocol_version => 5, timeout => 30 ); That timeout value is what needs to be added and not supported in the current Net::SOCKS. This update will be submitted to the author if he wishes to include it on CPAN. :) Thank you. ## Deliverables Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
