I have a bunch of videos that I have uploaded to YouTube. When I upload the videos, I set them to ‘private’ and manually set them to ‘public’ one-per-day so that the public can see them.
I need a perl script that uses the XML-RPC api for YouTube (the new one, not the old API) to go through the videos that I have uploaded and change the first video that it finds that has the Privacy level set as Private to Public (yt:private in the API).

Here’s what I need:

I need a perl script that uses the XML-RPC api for YouTube (the new one, not the old API) to go through the videos that I have uploaded and change the first video that it finds that has the Privacy level set as Private to Public (yt:private in the API).
Output the title of this video to Standard Output. No other output is really necessary (except for you in debugging, perhaps).
This script will eventually be run as a cron job on my local Linux server.
My background - I am a computer programmer; I write application software. I just don’t have time right now to figure out the API.
Caveats:
No languages other than perl will be accepted for this project. Period. No discussion.
Must use WWW::YouTube modules and must use the new XML-RPC API.
Must run on Linux/Unix - not Windows.
Script must be maintainable by me - no encrypted source code.
Deliverables:
I need to know what modules you are calling in your perl script upon delivery so I can install them from CPAN. Don’t expect me to read your code unless really necessary.
I will not provide my YouTube developer’s key - you’ll have to get your own.
Any deliverables will be considered a “work for hire?? - copyrights belong to me upon acceptance. I may publish or re-sell the script.
I will not release funds until I have evaluated the script to determine that it suits my purpose. I’m a quick QA, so it won’t be too bad - trust me. If you’ve written good code and it works, you’ll have no problem.
