299749 Actors Website needs life!

Greetings everyone,

I have a few questions about the design and relative cost of what I am trying to accomplish with my website. I have provided as much information as possible to help you visualize my idea.

I am looking to construct what is essentially a searchable 'Free Acting' website, a place where actors, models and talent seekers can find one another online. Just sign up to our website, get a password and post your profile. Pay Pal donations and strategic banner ads will help pay for the site. If they do not, then I may consider a 'subscribe' feature using Pay Pal for example, this can be done later on. The only pay feature will be for sponsored banner ads, those I can handle on an individual basis or I can outsource them to you.

Here is most of what I need done featurewise, you can also suggest any additions that I overlooked or can improve on.

1) - Error free reliability and future expandability as the site grows.

2) - An automatic or user generated password protected entry system, should be hack proof as possible.

3) - A website search engine with input features similar to some dating sites but tailored for an acting website. Some possible search options Age, Sex, Hair, Eye Color, Height, Location, etc. Im still trying to work it all out. Please suggest.

4) - A good user interface section with the ability for the user to easily update or change their user profile.

5) - An easy to manage Administration section.

6) - A 'Free Search' system with 'Free Sign Up to Respond to Ad' feature. Subscribers email address should be confidential from the public to protect against junk email as much as possible.

7) - It should have good basic visual appeal.

I wouldnt mind having a picture gallery of some form as well, to randomly throw up a pic from the actors/models. Not exactly sure yet. Suggestions?

I did all the layout myself. This is just a basic idea you can work with. As before, I am open to any and all suggestions. Also, I am in no rush to completion and there is no exact date due. Quality, compostion and reliability are the most important. Been dreaming of doing this site for years now but just never had the skill to do it the way I really wanted it done, i.e, with a modern, streamlined look using php or cgi as the heart of it. Very glad I found Scriptlance.

If all goes well with this job, I have a few more good ideas that you can work with me on. Hopefully we can become future business partners together.
