Create Events Module for PHPFox

Project: Create Private Events Module for PHPFox

Description: We are in need to a developer who is familiar with PHPFox who can create a custom events module that will allow members to create private events. In the current default events module of the PHPFox script, members are able to create events. The new custom module would need to include all the same functionality of the default events module but also allow members to create private, by invite only, events. When a member creates a private event, the event will need to be posted in the events section of the website like in the current default events module. However, only those who have been invited to the event using the "Invite Guests" link, will be able to see the event. Members who have not been invited will not be able to see the event.

We currently have custom code in place that places a notification on the news feed when a member selects "attending" for an event. This code will also need to be incorporated into the new module. However, the code will need to be changed so when members RSVP for a private event, only members who have been invited will see the new feed notification.

We would like this to be created using a new custom module or plugin. The original events script can be used as the foundation to create the new module, but we do not want to modify the core script. This will cause issues with future PHPFox upgrades.

Please have experience working with customizations to PHPFox or be familiar with the functionality of the script. We have several other projects that need to be completed as well. If this project goes well there will be the opportunity for additional work.
