Get website working since update to php version 5.4 (from 5.2)

Our server has been update to php version 5.4 from php 5.2. Since the update there is a site that doesn't work and can't connect to database. I believe that the DB call function might need to be rewritten. Please see the attached file for errors. This shouldn't be a big job and we are looking for a quick turn around.
