Winning bidder will propose the design of a medical registry and associated website for those needing transplant organs, using high availability, highly reliable, mature open source systems (ie sql database) that are collectively scalable to millions of users. Users will be non-sophisticated.
The system is intended to allow those in need of transplant organs to self report their personal information (public and private at their disgretion), current medical status, diagnosis, prognosis and self reported progress. The winning bidder will provide a detailed technical design and rationale for design choices within 15 days of award. The successful designer will have first crack at implementation. The registry needs to be up and running no later than March 15th, 2010.
