One click scanner software (finish code)

I need software written in VB.Net to do the following: (1) Run as a service, or tray icon if necessary (2) Wait one of the scanner's buttons to be pressed (3) Scan the image with a specified size, resolution, and color mode (NO DIALOG POPUPS) (4) Save the returned image in a specified folder. An XML file will allow configuration of the following settings per button (there are "SCAN" and "Custom" buttons on my scanner): - Image size (default 8.5" x 40") - Resolution (default 300dpi) - Color mode (default B&W) - File save folder (default My Documents) - JPEG quality (default 80; used only for color scans) B&W images should be saved as G4 TIFF files Grayscale images should be saved as LZW TIFF files (or grayscale GIF files) Color images should be saved as JPEG files I am using the Plustek OpticSlim M12 scanner currently, although the software should work with other scanners as well. Note that I only have the "smart touch" software mentioned on their website and their TWAIN drivers. See the following address: <[login to view URL]> If you do not have an OpticSlim M12 scanner, I will work with you to test your software, but keep in mind that this transaction is void if the software does not work with my scanner when complete. The previous bidder programmed the software to scan and crop perfectly without a dialog, allow configuration of presets via XML, and output TIFF/JPEG/BMP/PDF, but was unable to interface with the scanner buttons, due to the scanner not supporting CAP_DEVICEEVENTS, nor having an events tab in the properties for the scanner in My Computer. The winning bidder will be provided with the code as-is now. See attached files for existing executable. ## Deliverables Basically, SOURCE + EXE + MSI + exclusive copyrights: 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
