I want to set up a video/audio blog website (similar to [url removed, login to view]) and I already purchased the theme. The theme is SocialPlay. You can google it.
I currently use godaddy for most of my work but as you know, godaddy is trash. I have been looking into WP Engine but I want something that is cheaper for starting out. WP Engine has everything as far as from a security perspective but how they count bot crawls can lead to some serious over charges. I am thinking about trying out A2 Hosting first but I want some of your recommendations.
I pretty much need you to do the installation and harden the security for the website. I want to set up Amazon S3/Cloudfront with maybe CloudFlare for CDN purposes.I have read that when I use AWS, it sets it up where you need to create a CNAME for the static content stored on it. Can I still a standard SSL Cert or will I need a wildcard cert for AWS's subdomain? Also need permissions, database, the theme, wp-admin all hardened. Thanks.
