On my XP system I have an Apache server running. The htdocs path is
c:\program files\xampp\htdocs
My development environment is on a different path, e.g.:
c:\documents\user\phpdev\
I want a virtual host that covers that directory. I tried several settings in [login to view URL], but get an error 403.
These are the settings:
<VirtualHost [login to view URL]>
ServerName phpdev
DocumentRoot "C:/documents/user/phpdev"
</VirtualHost>
This is my hosts file:
[login to view URL] localhost
[login to view URL] phpdev
## Deliverables
Solution to that problem. I'm sure, that for a experienced Apache administrator this is no big deal. I don't need a complete httpd.conf. The server and PHP are perfectly working in their default htdocs directory. I just need the virtual host settings, or whatever is necessary to get this working.
## Platform
Windows XP
Apache 2.2.0
PHP 5.1.1
