e-commerce site with back office functionality to run on windows 2000 sbs. e-commerce can run on different platform, however, will need to be fully integrated to the back office application. Possibly a config of opentaps erp may be a better bet?? Build 2 environments, one production, one test We also need some back office functions, described in detail later. Please note, a configuration of a standard shopping cart isn't what we have in mind, it really isn't suitable for the kind of products we provide. We also need feeds for listings and sales for ebay, so experience of ebay integration is essential - if you've not worked with ebay file-exchange before, we will a lower view of any response. We're not just talking file uploads daily, we also want the sales records, updates etc all happening in psuedo-realtime - we don't want an overnight batch process as it's not quick enough for our business.

DELIVERABLES A working e-commerce site - brief details are that we sell pc/server parts - we need a home page, and a menu system where the users can select a part type, then drill down, and/or filter by machine type. We want a picture for each server/pc, then an exploded parts list. Please note that a part can fit several machines, so a simple hierachy where a part can only live in one or 2 categories isn't going to work. If the users clicks say on HP servers, we want a series of machines to be able to click on, with each machine, then we can drill down to parts list - still by category such as processors, memory, hard disks, etc etc. Within each category a list of all the compatible parts for that machine. Each part will have it's price, and shipping costs - please also note that the shipping price is variable by location and each item - we cannot use a standard shipping charge, as some parts will just be a simple jiffy bag, others needing specialist packing and delivery - some may be by pallet only. We have no "suppliers" and most of the stock is used - although we do have some new stock on occasion- we need to clearly identify this. Above and beyond all this, we need all the stock items to be uploaded to ebay - we need to host images, and an editable HTML document on our server that ebay looks at. This will mean an ebay template will need to be added into the deal! Auctions must stay on ebay, and will not be part of this project - uploads and downloads must not interfere with live auctions. As soon as the ebay function is working, we will also want a similar set of feeds to CQout as well. All stock must be managed locally. (Possibly this lot as a phase 2) - we need some basic stock location adding to the system to generate picking lists, packing lists, dispatch labels, courier notes, invoicing, including VAT reporting. We have looked at opentaps as a possibility, so this may be a viable option as it does all the invoicing, picking list, stock locations etc all out of the box. I'm not that sure that the e-commerce solution will work for us, as we have no real suppliers, all our stock is opportunitistic buying. It does sound like a lot of work, however, the experience of ebay/inhouse ecommerce is something that could be repeated for a number of clients! We must have the rights to the source code, unless opensource is used, where GPL must be adhered to.
## Platform
Windows server - not Linux please, we will consider others, but will have to be a compelling argument, we have no admin capability for non-windows platforms!
