**New Honors Logo Needed ASAP!
Due date: 12 noon EST, Thursday, April 6**
The University Honors Program at American University needs a new logo. You can see the current banner that is used as a logo at <[login to view URL]>. I've created a rough logo which you can see
<[login to view URL]~gretchen/[login to view URL]>, but I don't have the time nor expertise to recreate this into a quality image. The logo will be used for the website, our newsletter, documents (like letterhead) and other printing needs like folders, magnets, t-shirts, and more.
To view a sample of how the new Honors logo in addition to the American University (AU) logo would be intended as letterhead, visit <[login to view URL]~gretchen/[login to view URL]>. I already have the AU logo and can set up the letterhead. I just need the new Honors logo which is in the top left hand corner.
## Deliverables
1.) The logo needs to be recreated in an appropriate design program so it can be used for online and print purposes.
2.) The ribbon on the medal needs to be red, white, and blue. Each color should be equally represented. (1/3 of the ribbon should be blue, 1/3 of the ribbon should be white, and the remaining third should be red.) Please note, the white in the ribbon needs to be white and not translucent. Please use the sample logo as a guide to the specific shades of the colors [([login to view URL]~gretchen/[login to view URL]][1]).
3.) The medal emblem is trimmed in gold, with a black interior. On the interior black part, has "AMERICAN UNIVERSITY" centered in block letters. This text needs to be included on the medal in the logo. The text should be the same gold as the trim.
4.) To the right of the medal needs to be the text "UNIVERSITY HONORS PROGRAM". Each word should appear on a separate line. The text should be in the font Centaur. The text should be in black. The placement of the text should follow the curves of the medal as in the example (<[login to view URL]~gretchen/[login to view URL]>). All three words should be the appropriate size to line up at the right. Hence, the word "HONORS" should be proporionately larger than the others.
5.) The very bottom of "PROGRAM" letters should line up with the middle of the medal emblem. The text should NOT line up with the bottom of the medal emblem.
6.) The hazy blue color behind the ribbon on the medal is not needed. This was copied from our existing banner, and I didn't want to spend time getting rid of it for this example. The new Honors logo should be on a translucent ground.
7.) The logo file needs to be of high quality to meet printing needs as large as 5 feet and as small as 2 inches.
8.) The logo needs to be delivered in jpeg format so it's easy to use as needed.
