SIMPLE drive imaging program

I need to make an Image of a Hard Drive. I need to NOT have to re-boot, or go into DOS mode. It has to be able to read any Physical Drive, and write the image to any writable drive available to Explorer (any writable drive in "My Computer")

I must be able to Image ANY physical drive. that meants the boot sector, partition descriptors, and EVERYTHING ELSE.

It must compress on-the-fly. I will frequently use USB hard drives as the destination for writing the image file. Not a ton of bandwidth there; thus compress on-the-fly.

I must not have to install this program. just a .exe I can stick on a floppy or CD-R, and run on location without any hassles.

Many bidders are aparently not reading this whole thing.

A few specific considerations; Drive being Imaged, must not be able to be written to while this program is running; for "duh" related reasons.

I will require a seperate program, that runs in Windows (a DOS verson as a LATER project), that can write these images to drives of a different size than the image was taken from. This includes resizing of partitions and filesystems. FAT32, FAT16, and NTFS are a must for the resize feature. Others simply need be replicated. I repeat, THE WHOLE DRIVE must be Imaged. Boot Sector, Partition Descriptor, Data, EVERYTHING. I DON'T care about CD Images, or writing to a burner, or any fancy crap like that.

I am also SRTONGLY considering a bootable Linux-based CD-R that can perform this task with a simple menu-driven interface. As Linux now supports USB, this could be very feasible. Such a thing would be pretty easy for someone with Linux experience. (I can barely run Mandrake 8.1..... ;-) )

## Deliverables

Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete commented source code of all work done, and exclusive rights and license therto. Someone with direct disk access, or previous experience in imaging drives will be preferred. Price isn't the primary consideration, but I only have so much money.
