VBA Office Communicator 2005

I'm trying to get data out of Microsoft Access 2003 into Office Communicator 2005 IM. Right now I'm putting the data into the clipboard and using AppActivate to get to Office Communicator 2005, then SendKeys strData and then SendKeys {ENTER} to send the data. In VBA, Office Communicator appears under References but I cannot seem to access its objects/properties. Have you accessed Office Communicator 2005 IM using VBA?
