Adding BLOG to existing site

I wish to add a blog to my e commerce site. The scope of the work involves changing a header tab and moving it to the bottom header. Replacing the header tab with "BLOG", and installing the blog. I need some help with the best blog to have implemented, but am thinking of blogspot. I have an example of a blog i like. I need to keep the blog template in line with the site such as logo, and general menu look, colours on the Blog, also possibly some Google ad sense advertising.I have a google account, but have not yet setup adsense, need advice on the steps.
