Grab price from website and post to a mysql database with time and date

This sounds like a fun little project I would like to work on as it's not too complex but will provide you with a useful service! This is the sort of thing I would enjoy. Quickly, my background: BCS with Honours and Minor in Business from Carleton University, professional in-house experience as well. From what I understand (and please do correct me if I'm wrong), it would make sense to build you one page that has a form on it (where you'll input new URLS to be submitted to the DB) and one page for review of the info that has been scraped from the URL (pulls all the info from the DB). Additionally we'd need a script to be scheduled as a cron job - this would go through all the URLs you have put in the database (or maybe just the new ones? Up to you) and scrape information from each page to save it in the DB. An important question I have is if the pages being scraped will be on the same website. For example if you're always looking at [login to view URL] then we can somewhat safely assume all of the elements will be on all of the pages, and that they will all contain the same or similar IDs or CSS classes used on the containing <div> and <span> elements in the page. Otherwise if there is a small set of websites to use, this would still be workable. However if you're using a bunch of different sites at random then this could be tricky. Hopefully this proposal shows you that I have put some though into the project and am ready to help you succeed!

I will provide you a backend form , there you can paste the website link and click on the scrap button. it will the scrap the price , category , images and information which you want from the website and update in the database . Also cron like something can be wrote in the server to update the price daily of the scraped websites
