oscommerce [login to view URL] error

I have a problem which I believe to be in create_account.php.

insert into customers_info (customers_info_id, customers_info_number_of_logons, customers_info_date_account_created) values ('0', '0', now())

That happens when you try to create a account. I've looked at those tables in the database and I can see that its trying to create the customers id of 0, if I delete that one I can create the account but none of the shipping info gets passed or, its not right. This is a heavily modified store, it was working fine and I cant track down when the problem occurred

If I delete this line from [url removed, login to view]

tep_db_query("insert into " . TABLE_CUSTOMERS_INFO . " (customers_info_id, customers_info_number_of_logons, customers_info_date_account_created) values ('" . (int)$customer_id . "', '0', now())");

Then it will proceed without the error but its not carrying over the address in the order. Also the account created is not showing in the backend. the order does not come through either.

This is a small project and I need someone to start right away.
