Website Design

Hi I am a wedding photographer and my current website is paulstott.com. I have made the decision that I need a new website rather than modifications to this site for the following reasons. I think people are frustrated with the usability of the portfolio pages The website is quite slow Being totally in flash it is poor for SEO The text pages lack a bit of consistency in look and feel and they look a bit weak. I want to provide some inspiration to people bidding on this project. I am not averse to having flash content but I want a fast site that is smooth and will not annoy users. I want the content to be able to be picked up by search engines so maybe html or php with some flash content that doesn't effect SEO. I would like a home page that has room for strong visuals but also allows for content for SEO. I want a way of presenting the text pages with a nice strong professional font and attractive look and feel that doesn't bore the user. I also want consistency of design in all the text pages. I would like the site to conform to website standards. I would like the person bidding to be able to design the site with SEO in mind and to inform me of the SEO analysis that will be provided and advice on the placement of the appropriate keywords. I want a strong visual gallery, main images to be large and maybe thumbnails. I have attached a couple of sites to provide gallery inspiration. I want it to be easy for me to add a new testimonial page, remove a portfolio page, add images, remove images, change text without it being too hard work. I have a logo but I am happy for the new site to be completely re-branded. I want the designer at the end of the design process to incorporate all the text from my site or new text into the site. I would like a handover document describing how to modify the site. I am not going to be interested in bids where the bidder just says I can do this job and can start now. I need more information to give me confidence and for it to be evident they have read this description and give me some idea that they have done something similar that I can look at. I want the bidder to be realistic with timescale, my decision to go with someone is not going to be biased greatly by timescale. I need to see that we can communicate clearly together in English and I don't want you calling me Dear Sir or anything like that. I am very easy to work with but I will test the site thoroughly and I do want a very professional design. I look forward to hearing from you. Regards Paul
