Woocommerce shipping zones not working with postcode wildcards

HI there,
We have a dev site setup with Woocommerce, we need the shipping to work with postcodes so that when one is entered for delivery cost, it checks the postcode entered and then shows the correct shipping price.
We have had a go at trying to get it working but cant seem to get it working correctly...
We need the shipping cost per product to be based on Volumetric packaging boxes...which we think we can sort...lol
But we need to be able to add a postcode such as a Belfast post code and it show shipping cost for that zone...
Same for mainland UK , channel islands etc...
We just have flat rate in at the moment but may use table rate shipping...for each product
We need someone to set the shipping up for us so this works ok...then postcodes are entered it works..
