IT Project Manager

We are looking for a dynamic IT Project Manager to join our IT team. This is an active, hands-on position. Success in this role requires three skill sets: IT Operations: Manage IT staff, resources, and capacity to deliver service to our clients and internal users 24/7. Project Management: Continuously plan, communicate, and adjust project plans to deliver services based on changing needs of the business working with our business leaders. Business acumen and a high degree of financial value awareness are needed. Technical: You have current and proficient skills in IT with enough depth that you can help the team in detailed planning and execution of tasks on an ongoing basis. The IT leader will manage and support a wide range of technologies, staff, and projects. Someone who can identify and understand our key business drivers, define budget and strategy, and keep IT projects on task and within budget is crucial. Our industry is ever-changing, and the ideal candidate has an interest in DevOps, service integration, machine learning and has a finger on the latest technology trends. We are expanding our IT team, and the IT Project Manager will also be involved in hiring, onboarding, and development of new team members. Responsibilities Include: Understand business processes and recommend technology solutions to drive further optimization through technology and cost reduction. Identify and drive new opportunities with technology to benefit the user experience (internal and external users). Define strategic and tactical roadmap of IT initiatives and oversee said initiatives (related to DevOps, service integration, and machine learning). Ensure the IT staff clearly understands their role in contributing to the success of the company, and their most urgent priorities and deadlines. Hire and develop talent that facilitates future growth opportunities. Required Skills: Fluent English speaking and writing IT operational experience in delivering service according to ITIL IT Operations Management - ticketing, monitoring, capacity, and availability Hands-on experience in system administration, application development or database administration Ability to leverage open source solutions to maximize business value using projects like Mattermost, Apache Guacamole, and OpenVPN Understanding of virtualization technologies and which U.S. hosting providers offer the best value and features Ability to quickly learn an API spec and integrate a plugin or perform system administration tasks Familiarity with cloud file storage solutions (Google, Amazon, and others) Awareness of effective technologies used to deliver customer web portals Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years experience in IT Project Management with demonstrated ability to build high-functioning technical teams and solutions Minimum of 5 years of hands-on IT experience working in complex, diverse projects Proven experience defining overall IT strategy and managing a portfolio of projects from start to finish, meeting deadlines and budget requirements Track record of driving IT innovation and technology-driven business outcomes Proven experience of working with executive-level stakeholders Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment, continuing to deliver quality service and consistently meet deadlines Actively generates process improvements Champions and drives change initiatives Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems Experience defining and maintaining IT budgets Knowledge of: Zimbra Email, Linux System build and administration, mobile app development, web app development, VOIP, and messaging systems Intermediate knowledge of frameworks for machine learning/deep learning (TensorFlow, Google ML kit, etc.) Experience in Sales and Service CRM systems such as Zoho Familiarity with Joget low-code workflow solutions
