Requirements -
1. An API to create a new Tableau site on the Tableau Server
- Which also creates a default Spark SQL data source within the site with the given parameters
- Which calls another API to get a list of users, userids and emails, and creates those users under this site
2. A fully functional SAML workflow integrated with Tableau Server
- Create a SAML confirmant identity provider which calls another custom API* to confirm user credentials
- Integrate this IdP with Tableau Server with a fully functioning example (a user with Tableau Desktop client must be able to connect to the Tableau Server with his SAML credentials*)
3. An API for
- Creating a new user in a site
- Deleting a user in a site
- Disabling / deleting a Tableau site
- Fetch number of dashboards and their metadata shared with a given user
- Generate an embed url for a given dashboard and the user
- Get total number of dashboards and shares in a given site
- Get all dashboards views for a given site within a given datetime duration
Notes -
We will provide a test environment with Tableau Server setup and licenses.
The freelancer must understand the Tableau API documentation.
Preferred language is Python / NodeJS
Some specific details may be required to change depending on the API support actually given by Tableau.
