I have a set of files [login to view URL] (1,6GB) and [login to view URL] (520 MB). The MSSQL database is set to full restore mode.
Recently the [login to view URL] had an import that has overwritten most usefull data, making the database useless. Unfortunately there is no recent backup. Last full backup is from 10.10.2005 (today is 1.2.2006). I have read alot about restoring databases but it all seem to require a recent full backup. I think this data is lost now, but it is important to try anything possible to get data out of the database. I dont really need a new working database, but i really need to get out the usefull data in a readable format. The usefull data is the data registered during january before the import was done (30 jan.).
The [login to view URL] file is still as large as it was earlier so i was wondering if there is a way to do either
1. Reconstruct data from just the [login to view URL] file and use "point in time" feature to a point in time before the import was made.
2. Restore old [login to view URL] file from backup and then use [login to view URL] to insert all transactions to a point in time before the import was made.
If anyone have a working solution for this i gladly pay for the service.
