Windows 2008 web server migration from one dedicated server to another

This project involves migrating a dedicated server with around 5 IIS websites + some FTP sites (with content/settings/users) to a new dedicated server with a new ISP. See complete detailed requirements below. ## Deliverables Here's what you're expected to do : 1. Migrate about 5 IIS websites from the old server to new server. Very little dynamic content. Basic webpages. You will need to migrate the content. You will also likely need to setup PHP & PEAR on the new server to make some of the email forms work in the sites. 2. Migrate windows firewall settings. 3. Migrate users/groups (very few). 4. Migrate Filezilla FTP server with settings & content. 5. Setup & migrate "smarterstats" to the new server while migrating the old report data. 6. Setup & migrate "smartermail" mail server. A last minute sync of all mail will be required before switching off the old server and turning on the new one. This is a rather simple process in case you were wondering - <[login to view URL]> 7. The most important part of this job is that we'll be migrating our DNS entries from the old ISP to the new ISP too. The new ISP needs us to create a ticket with them so they can add all the necessary entries to their DNS server. You can get the list of domains and entries from the web interface of the old ISP (who allowed us to modify the entries ourselves). If you can create a properly organized of all necessary entries we can forward them to the new ISP to create them in their DNS. Then, when you are ready for the migration you will have to update all the DNS entries in the old ISP's DNS servers too to ensure no traffic is missed (and not a single email is missed on any of the sites) when the DNS server is updated in the domain registry. Remember that many of the IPs will change too due to the migration. Those changes will need to be noted in IIS and smartermail's config too. 8. We will handle the updating of the DNS servers in the domain registry whenever you are ready. 9. Install MySQL on the new server and migrate the old server's very basic DBs. 1 site uses a basic DB behind it due to a shopping cart. That will need to be migrated too.
