ODBC SQL - linked server setup and query

Hi I have created linked servers to Excel and MS Access using odbc and retrieved data. Have not tried firebird but it should be the same concept. Can I connect and take a look please. Thanks Roni

Hello - I am an experienced SQL Server administrator and developer. This sounds like a simple case of ensuring that the ODBC connection on the SQL Server is correctly configured and then getting the syntax for the query into Firebird correct. What version of SQL Server are you using and how have you confirmed that the ODBC connection from the SQL Server machine to the Firebird instance is functioning? /R.
