Geometry and materials of your design should be carefully check since they can hugely influence both product prize and behavior (wear, malfunctioning). I am PhD mechanical engineer with more than 7 years experience in mechanical design and analysis. I think it would be interesting to run a Finite element Simulacion of your product in order to check the stresses that it will suffer during functioning and localize zones to improve. In any case, to define an action plan it is mandatory to see the design itsleft and understant its function. Best of luck
