Hello. I am French and do freelance translations. I do all my work manually, as I consider that translating needs to be done with respect towards the style and language as much as towards spelling, grammar and punctuation. Softwares like trados might be useful to translate product lists for example, but what they offer is basically same word recognition, which in a text is dangerous and inevitably leads to erros in the meaning ( a word or group of words in ine sentence will not necessarily have the same meaning, therefore translation, in another)... in such cases the human brain is irreplaceable. If the fact that I work manually and deliver texts true to the original is a problem, then do not contact mw. Otherwise, I would be happy to chat with you. I can do this in the required time frame, even without trados (which I do have but once I saw what results it gave me I decided to never use). By the way, I do a lot of "repair work" on trados and google translations...

As French mother tongue, I studied as well in France (Metz) as in Germany (Humboldt University of Berlin), and so I studied two Masters as from my cv description. I gathered my translating experience through the various working positions I occupied in different sectors: The French Press Agency AFP (Berlin office) where part of my work was translating articles and press reviews, Italian Tour Operators (texts creation and translation for web contents, catalog contents into French, Italian, German and English. I lately started to work as freelance translating legal, finance, culture, technical, research, sports documents. I’ve been living and working in South of Italy since 2008 and speak fluent Italian. Besides working as a journalist in french medias, I also have my master's degree from France, which means that I had to write my thesis on that language. In addition to that, I also worked for almost two years to a real estate french company that was trying to set foot in Brazil.
