It needs at least 4 VBA macros; 1 macro for problem 5.7 and 3 macros for problem 5.17. As I've already implemented many numerical computation macros, the implementation of the required method to solve your problems. i.e. Lagrange interpolation polynomial and cubic spline, are not a big deal.

Hello, I'm an expert in VBA and VB.NET with almost 10 years of experience. I quickly wrote a function to calculate the value at x = -2.5 (example 5.7). The value of y = 1.8125. What is it exactly that you need? Do you just need the solutions to these examples? Or do you need a macro that calculates the Lagrange interpolation polynomial for any given set of datapoints? Well it can be done in excel using VBA, but you have to specify completely how you want the answers. Mathematics is all right, I can calculate function variables and plot curves by entering values but If it needs to be done in MATLAB, do not select me.
