Scrape BetBrain to a file

I need to get data from BetBrain. I need a PHP, Python or Perl script to scrape the following page: [url removed, login to view]
It needs to:
1. save the whole page in HTML format to a local file which I can do additional processing on later, no need to get images, css etc
2. return an array containing data for each game on that page, the array will contain: DateTime, TeamName1, TeamName2, GameURL
(eg [url removed, login to view])
The task is relatively easy if you have experience with scraping, however, the script must be well documented, clean and efficient. BetBrain do appear to be using various methods to try to prevent scraping, so makes sure you know how to get around this before you bid.
