E-Commerce Store

The main objective is to created an eyewear e-commerce website. Apart from e-commerce, there has to be certain pages dedicated to product information - information that help customers make their purchase decision easier. The company has retail units already set-up and is looking to merge the operations of the retail showrooms with that of the online store. The contractor will have to create a good looking e-commerce website and at the same time maintain an easy navigation flow around the website. There should be no clutter or unwanted information on any of the pages. Not all products will be sold online - some will just be displayed without the 'Add to Cart' button. The photographs of the SKUs will be given to you by us. There will also need to be integration of third party solutions onto the website. More details on this will be given to interested contractors. We have a customer and inventory database for our retail business, which we want to sync with the online database. We don't want any Flash based technology to be used on the website. We prefer it to be on HTML 5 and are looking to optimise the website for smart phones and tablet screen sizes. There are not many great online eyewear websites out there. There is still a lot of skepticism amongst users to actually make a purchase online. We are looking to change these perceptions with our online store. Contractors have a great opportunity of displaying their skills and being part of a website which could help in having a positive influence on users and changing the mindset of online shoppers.
