Fix wordpress plug-in template bugs

We downloaded an event plugin but the template for the plugin is not working for us because the template is conflicting with the wordpress template / css.

Problem 1:
As you can see the agenda is too 'big' for the website and the background is transparant instead of white.
Problem 2:
The css causes a white spacer under the menu. See attached image.
Problem 3:
The widget that goes with the plugin doesnt work anymore. It should work as a link to the right event with a mouseover effect but somehow it's conflicting the template also. See attached image.
The plugin we use is Event Importer Pro:
