I want to build a web application that will help us manage a newsletter membership.
We are offering only 1 option, which is a yearly subscription. Once the customer apply to receive the newsletter, the web application will need to allow the customer to pay via paypal (paypal to be created for testing - please advise which version do I need, I'd rather stick with a free version if possible).
Once the payment has been approved, you need to insert or to update the contact information inside the hosted newsletter application (we are using StreamSend, full API available to achieve those tasks - see attached files).
The Mailing List will have these 3 fields:
Full Name
Email Address
Expiration Date (data to be stored in this format YYYMMDD)
If a customer renews his membership, you search for the email address and extend the membership for another year, therefore the expiration date becoming YYYY+1MMDD
The web application could potentially be hosted on a Windows or Linux box (we have both, haven't decided which to used), but it has to run on MySQL (5.0).
