In this piece of research, I undertook a thorough review of the literature and the contents thereof, pertaining to grade 11 students, based on the Cunningsworth book criteria. This consisted of extensive literature review, formulation of recommendations based on the research, presentation of the data acquired over the course of days and weeks, systematic presentation and interpretation of the information concerned, and other activities related therewith.

This article explores various aspects of families, shedding light on their nature, important characteristics, and societal expectations. I argued that the conventional understanding of "family" is exclusivist, traditional, and narrow, primarily relying on elements such as marriage, blood relations, and adoption for recognition and validation. I highlighted how this limited definition overlooks alternative models of families and excludes those who live beyond the traditional structures.
