I am an experienced programme manager with competencies across many disciplines. My career spans a total of 39 years in ICT through the breadth and depth of the industry over the past 4 decades - including programming in various languages, system analysis & design, project management, service delivery management and finally managing the vendor services metrics programmes between Dimension Data South Africa & Middle East Africa and Cisco Systems for over 10 years.
I have developed and managed teams of various sizes and managed budgets ranging from a few thousand to millions of Rand. In my most recent position I interfaced with local and global executives as advisor on critical vendor programme metrics and performance areas.
My approach is consultative and collaborative however I am analytical and pay attention to finite detail, and I am not averse to making difficult decisions and acting when needed. Many years of experience in communicating with senior management, internal teams and clients supports and informs this approach.

I have been trained and worked for many years as a programmer in a number of programming languages. COBOL, Clipper, C, Dephi and MS SQL. Presently I am studying Python.
I have developed technical and user documentation at various levels for large scale projects and participated in compliance and testing programs (i.e. Y2K).
I have PMP & ITIL certifications and I am working towards a Cisco DevNet Associate certification.
I have recently retired from my corporate position and having taken a 12 month sabbatical I am now open to freelance positions.
