A tax splitting application was developed for a UK based Insurance Premium Processor.

Functionality:
The insurance broker's system will submit XML messages to Premium Processor's system. Messages can either be of Invoice-level format or Accounting-level format.
For those messages which are at Invoice-level, the Premium Processor splits them into Accounting-level and sends a XML message to the Payments & Accounting System instructing the system to remit the payment to the Insurance Carrier.
An XML acknowledgement message is sent back to the Insurance Broker, stating that the processing has been successful.
An XML intimation message is sent to the Insurance Carrier, stating that a payment will be made shortly.

We performed legacy data migration from mainframe system to Oracle DB for a large insurance application. Migration involved ETL and Validation using Java. Admin functionality was provided using a web browser interface via a JEE web application.
